• El día 11 de Febrero se celebró en el Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales, Instituto de Historia del CSIC el Seminario Científico: La misión de Irlanda, 1578-1808. La batalla de Kinsale, 1601-1602. Nuevas fuentes y nuevos presupuestos metodológicos

• El Dr. Declan M. Downey, profesor titular de Univesity College Dublin, ha sido nombrado en enero de 2010 Académico Correspondiente para Irlanda de la Real Academia de la Historia. El Dr. Downey ha dirigido la investigación de Oscar Recio Morales y actualmente la de Eduardo De Mesa.
